Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is a company based in United
States and is considered as a largest chain of retail stores worldwide. The
company is operating retail stores of different formats all over the world.
Three main segments through which the company is currently operating are:
Wal-Mart International, Wal-Mart U.S., and Sam’s Club.
With the
economic recession of 2008 fading away, the company is experiencing the rise of
demand for its retail products as the consumers have once again taken interest
in purchasing items that they were reluctant to do so before. This is the
reason that the shopping of luxury items from Wal-Mart has also increased. This
will impact the overall global sales of the company in positive way. The luxury
items are normally the expensive products and an increase in their demand will
benefit the company extracting more revenues. This has also affected the Wal-Mart stock in one-way or another.
The stock outlook seems positive. The Wal-Mart stock price is
also getting higher since the last three years as the investors’ demand for it
has enhanced. The current stock price is $77.46 with an average change of
0.36%. The stock price has also increased by 36% since the last three years.
